What should I not eat on the keto diet?

The keto diet is all about limiting your consumption of carbohydrates. Therefore, you should avoid eating anything that is high in carbs such as grains (including bread and rice), legumes, processed foods and sugary snacks.

Instead, focus on eating low-carb vegetables, healthy fats (such as olive oil, nuts and avocados) and moderate amounts of protein. You should also be sure to drink plenty of water and stay on top of your electrolyte balance (by adding salt or supplementing with electrolytes).

Finally, make sure you're getting enough fiber by eating foods like chia seeds, flaxseeds and non-starchy vegetables.
